What’s New With Lois?
05-17-2024: I’ve been away from writing for awhile. I never expected my hiatus to last so long but I’ve kept a hand in the book biz by writing reviews and feature articles for www.shelf-awareness.com. I’ve had the pleasure of reading and reviewing so many wonderful books for Shelf. I also wrote a Regency Novella during the pandemic, A Duke For Christmas, using the pseudonym Emma Sloane. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience – it’s available in e-book at all online retailers and I hope you’ll find it a fun, charming holiday read. I’ve also had rights reverted on quite a few of my earlier Silhouette Books and have just e-pubbed the first one on Amazon! FALLING FOR THE COWBOY was originally titled “Lonesome Cowboy” and holds a special place in my heart. It’s been edited and updated but the hero is still the same brooding, alpha cowboy I first fell in love with.

And then, of course – there’s Brodie. Where is he? Why did it take so long??!! I can only tell you that writers are human too and sometimes, while we’re making plans, fate steps in and chaos ensues. I hope to write Brodie’s story – but I can’t promise when that will happen. Because – I’ve vowed to never promise to deliver a book again until I have typed “The End”. Brodie’s story is contracted to Harlequin, of course, together with the rest of The Coulter books and eventually, the publisher will determine what ultimately happens.
I hope all of you have enjoyed happy, productive lives since we last talked – may we all continue to have peaceful, happy lives filled with lots of great books to read.
